Abilify Maintena


What it is used for

For the acute and maintenance treatment of schizophrenia in adults. For maintenance treatment to prevent the recurrence of manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder in adult patients as monotherapy.


How to take it

This medicine is a pack that contains more than one part.

Part 1: Injection, powder for

10 mL clear glass vial containing a white to off-white powder, stoppered with a teflon laminated chlorobutyl rubber stopper and sealed with an aluminium flip-off seal with yellow polypropylene flip-off top

The way to take this medicine is: Intramuscular. This medicine is given through a needle inserted into the muscle beneath the skin.

Part 2: Injection, diluent for

2 mL clear glass vial containing a clear colourless liquid, stoppered with a FluroTec Plus laminated gray bromobutyl rubber stopper and sealed with an aluminium flip-off cap with plastic flip-off disc

The way to take this medicine is: Intramuscular. This medicine is given through a needle inserted into the muscle beneath the skin.
